iSalvos Tuesday No 059b - Major Cheriann Stoops & Envoy Steve Bussey

The Future of Junior Soldiers: A Vision
This presentation explores the challenges of discipleship for the next generation, the historic purpose of Junior Soldiers and a proposal to shift from a liner to a non-linear, web-based approach which centralizes well-designed teaching; builds face-to-face training through small groups (companies) which together form a brigade which is being equipped and mobilized in the local Corps and community; and connects each brigade to a larger 'community of practice' via moderated forms of new media in which participants can interact with other Junior Soldiers, share new ideas, resources and gain a sense of being a part of the larger Salvation Army of young Salvationists.
